Sony has just released an ad for their Sony PlayStation 4 in a video titled: Feel the Power of Playstation. And well, the gist is.. uhh. I don’t even know. The video looks like something that came from Hideo Kojima’s mind, and just shows a bunch of military/mercenaries finding a room full of beating hearts, powered by PS4s. What that is supposed to mean, I’m not entirely sure. But hey, it’s something?

The weird part is, this isn’t the first time they’ve done it. Do you remember their PlayStation 3 ad with that baby? No? Here’s a recap for ya:

This could be them changing the way they market their products before the release of the PlayStation 5, so it might be something related to that. When I first watched the video, I had assumed it was something regarding the PS5, but turns out, it’s not. More likely, this could indicate Sony’s last push for their PS4 Pro model as well as how they’re going to marketing the PS5 from now on, and I don’t know how to feel about that. It’s weird, quirky, but hey, I think it works for them.

But at this point, I don’t even know when they’re going to release any details for the PS5. There was a rumoured event that was supposed to happen this February, but now that’s looking unlikely. We know what the logo looks like (a lot of info that gave us) and some other spec info. Beyond that, not much else. It’s the topic of some discussion on what the device is actually going to be capable of and what it’s going to look like. But for now, it seems we’re going to be waiting a bit more for some details.
