
Xiaomi celebrated its 8th year in business by doing what it does best, release a slew of devices that will leav its hordes of fans and customers in awe. Launching the latest flagsgip Mi 8 and a special Explorer edition, the Chinese manufacturer dazzeled its visitors with a transparent glass back that shows the inner working of the limited edition device.

Apart from the new devices, Xiaomi reelased a new UI, MI Band 3, a standalone VR and a toned down Mi 8 SE. As for the flagship, the company is claiming to be the first in the world with dual-frequency GPS giving the phone even more accurate navigation. The phone itself comes with a 6.21’’ AMOLED full-screen display and is powered by Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 845 platform. Camera is a 12 MP dual AI camera with AI-enabled Studio Lighting function.
The models come in various colours from White, Gold, Black and Blue with option of 64, 128 and 256 GB coupled with 6GB RAM, however the Explorer is fitted with 8GB RAM and comes in 128GB memory.

With a transparent glass back, the Explorer edition is probaly the first smartphone in the market to offer in-disply fingerprint scanner using pressure-sensitive technology. The Android device features 3D face unlock similar found on Apple iPhone X, giving the Mi 8 explorer dual security feature.
All models will incorporate the MIUI 10 with the first batch going into Mi 8 (Mi 8 SE / transparent exploration version), Mi MIX 2S, MiMIX 2, Mi MIX, Mi 6X, Mi 6, Mi 5, Mi Note 2, Redmi Note 5, Redmi S2. Other models are expected receive in July.
