After announcing the availability of the RTX 2080 and 2080Ti, NVIDIA has finally confirmed the launch date for the next card in the RTX family. The NVIDIA RTX 2070 is set to go on sale this 17th October.
From a tweet posted by the company itself, the new card will be available in two editions, just like the 2080 and 2080Ti. It is based on the same Turing architecture as the higher-end siblings, but with smaller frame buffer and slower clock speeds. Thanks to the new architecture, the RTX 2070 is VR-ready and supports real-time ray tracing, with Nvidia boasting that Turing can process graphics at six times the speed of its previous Pascal architecture.
Beautiful any way you look at it.

The card will have 2,304 CUDA cores and 8GB of GDDR6 video memory on board. Clock speeds will be different between the standard card and the Founders edition – 1,710MHz for the latter and 1,620MHz for the former.
The theoretical analogous card to the 2070 will be the GTX 1070Ti in terms of performance. Even so, as no one has their hands on the card as of yet, the comparison is only on paper. We will just have to wait to spend USD499 (~RM2,065) or USD599 (~RM2,479) for the Founders Edition come 17th October.
