NVIDIA Announces The GeForce RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti

NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang with the new RTX GPU

NVIDIA officially lifted the cloth of its newest GPU platform, the RTX series. The first wave comes in three flavours – RTX 2070, RTX 2080 and RTX 2080 Ti – and will be the first consumer GPU from the company to focus on Raytracing for more realistic graphics in games.

The new Turing core was announced at the recent SIGGRAPH conference, and boasts a 25 times more efficient core to handle Ray Tracing rendering in real time than Pascal cores. The Turing GPU is also the first GPU to be announced with Samsung’s new GDDR6 RAM.

The three new GPUs each have both Reference and Founder’s Edition. Check out the comparison table below to see what differences you will get between the different edition, and when compared to the previous generation card:

Prices for the cards will be different for the two card versions. The Founders Edition of the GeForce RTX 2080 Ti will be USD 1199 (about RM 4,920), the GeForce RTX 2080 will go for  USD 799 (about RM 3,279) and the GeForce RTX 2070 will have a USD 599 (about RM 2,458) sticker price. Reference card prices meanwhile starts from USD 999 (RM 4,091) , USD 699 (RM 2,863) and USD 499 (RM 2,043) for the RTX 2080 Ti, RTX 2080 and RTX 2070 respectively.

Partner manufacturers will be coming out with its own cards pretty soon, evident by the leak we saw just yesterday. Once the prices and availability for Malaysia are announced, we will definitely share it here.
