Motorola’s Razr has officially come back to life as the device goes on pre-order after the delay that happened due to popular demand. They’ve now released some videos to explain the device, and how to take care of it. And the message is clear, foldables aren’t ready. The video, like the one above named ‘Caring for Razr’ gives you tips on how to, well, take care of your Razr. They warn users to keep the screen dry, not to use a screen protector, beware of sharp objects and to close the phone before putting it in your pocket. I mean, sounds logical.

However, they also mentioned in the video that ‘bumps and lumps are normal”, which is apparently normal as the Razr uses a plastic screen. But that’s kinda whack they have to mention it. They’re doing what Samsung should’ve done before they released the Samsung Galaxy Fold, which is smart, but also reminds us that foldables are still a new concept. Plus, it’s a $1500 (~RM6099) purchase,  so you’re going to wanna take care of it. The hefty price tag and fragility kind of makes it a hard purchase.

Probably best to wait on the evolution of foldables to a point where companies don’t have to caution users on how to use em’? I mean, probably anyway. But one thing’s for sure, it’s a good first few steps into the dynamic form factor.
