A while back, we reported Sony, among others, pulling out of Games Developer Conference (GDC) as well as PAX East. This was due to concerns over the Coronavirus and now, Capcom and Square Enix have already scaled down their plans. Two more major game devs have also pulled out of the event, and that being Cyberpunk 2077 and PUBG.

CD Projekt Red, the developers behind Cyberpunk 2077 will no longer attend PAX East, as announced by their Head of Communications, Stephanie Byer on Twitter. They weren’t planning on showcasing anything new from Cyberpunk 2077, but some of the staff were coming for the event.

PUBG Corp. developers of (you guessed it) PUBG also announced the cancellation of their plans for PAX East as well as GDC due to the “continued spread” of the virus, as reported by Gamespot. PUBG Corp. had planned to hold a happy hour event for fans at a bar in Boston on Friday, but has been postponed. “We will be rescheduling this plan for an upcoming event once the coronavirus is under control and travel returns to normal,” PUBG Corp. said.
