7-year old Singaporean Simone Lim has won the Pokèmon Oceania International Junior Championships in Melbourne, Australia.
An INCREDIBLE read by Simone, leading to a victory and earning Simone the title of 2020 Oceania #PokemonVG Junior Champion! pic.twitter.com/liiJyEj09I

The Lil’ Pokèmon Trainer actually beat number one seed, Justin Miranda-Radbord who’s older and more experienced, having won some Pokèmon tournaments already. This to me, makes it all the more legit that this little girl beat out some tough competitors to be ‘the very best’.
On the last match in the Grand Fjnals, Lim had only her final Pokèmon left, a Tyranitar. Radbord on the other hand had two Pokèmon left, his Rhypherior and Dusclops. She read Radbord’s move, and managed to knock out the Rhyperior and Dusclops, who is weak to Crunch, a Dark-type move. She then proceeded to demolish the Rhyperoor with Tyranitar’s Superpower attack, winning her the tournament.
And that’s not all. Check out this cute AF interview she gave holding her Eevee stuffed toy. It’s got to be the most adorable eSports interview around.
For winning the tournament, she was awarded $5000 or her choice of scholarship.
