Xiaomi Officially Launches The Redmi Note 9 Series On May 11 In Malaysia

Just a few days ago, the Redmi Note 9 series was unveiled, and it’s already making it’s way to Malaysia. Xiaomi Malaysia today have officially announced that the Redmi Note 9 series will be making it’s way to our shores on May 11 on their Facebook page at 2PM.

But as a reminder, here’s what the two new Redmi Note 9 series devices are packing:

The Redmi Note 9 comes with 3GB+64GB and 4GB+128GB variants while the Pro version comes with 6GB+64GB and 6GB+128GB variants. The Redmi Note 9 comes with a MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, while the Note 9 Pro packs a Snapdragon 720G chipset. However, both devices come with 5020mAh batteries, but the Redmi Note 9 has a slower charge of 18W in comparison to the Pro’s 30W.

There are some other differences, as the Redmi Note 9 Pro sports a 6.67-inch 2400×1080 resolution DotDisplay and 64MP +8MP +5MP + 2MP quad camera setup and 16MP selfie cam. The Redmi Note 9 comes with a smaller 6.53-inch DotDisplay, and a quad camera setup of 48MP + 8MP + 2MP + 2MP and a 13MP front facing camera.

The prices of these devices are still unknown, but based on their international prices, shouldn’t cost more than RM1300. Which, for the money, might make it the Redmi Note 9 lineup a solid deal. We’ll know more once May 11 comes around, so stay tuned for updates on Xiaomi’s latest offerings!
