The United States government has added it’s two cents into the whole Chinese chips debacle. Homeland Security issued a statement stating “it has no reason to doubt” what Apple and Amazon have said so far.
Last week, Bloomberg issued a report stating that microchips made by Chinese manufacturer SuperMicro were compromising servers, allowing Chinese spies to gain access to powerful data. Apple earlier made a statement denying that the entire issue.

Amazon and Supermicro also issued statements denying the compromised chips, however Bloomberg have stated they are sticking with the story. According to Bloomberg, it is rare for the federal government to issue a statement on such a threat, and especially since it has been under investigation for three years now.
Until a credible source steps forward and dissects the chips, only then will it be possible to find out the truth.
