UBER Announces New Look & Feel

UBER has announced that the existing black face logo will be revamped to a new stylish one. The original “U’ logo will be replace with a circle hollowed out square centre, which Uber calls the “bit”.

Uber has continuously expanded and the bit will be intended as an easily recognRider_Iconisable stamp for Uber’s growing portfolio and services. As noted by Uber’s CEO Travis Kalanick: “The company described the change as a way to celebrate its technology and the cities it serves.”

The company also mentioned that it has spent months researching on people, textile, scenery, art, fashion and more to devise on the individual countries that Uber operates in, including Malaysia.

Uber was inspired from various cities across the globe for its vibrant colour from old architecture sites to lush green sceneries. Kalanick went on to say: “Every city has its own character and our long term goal is to have unique designs for cities as well as countries. This will mean adding hundreds more color palettes and patterns overtime.”

When Uber first started in the transportation industry, it was seen as everyone’s private driver but now Uber strives to make transportation as reliable as running water. “Our new brand reflects that reality by working to celebrate the cities that Uber serves. We’re excited to share it with you” concluded Kalanick.
