In what looked like a solid display from Samsung at their Unpacked event with their revolutionary new foldable: the Galaxy Z Flip. Things were looking good, as the Z Flip had trumped the other foldable that released, Motorola’s Razr.
But now, in what seems to be one of possibly many more, a problem has emerged. Twitter user @mondoir tweeted out that he had received the Z Flip, took it out the box, and flipped it into destruction. He mentions he had done so as normal, with nothing out of the ordinary happening but he did say there was a crack sound. He also mentions that cold weather he is currently in could have contributed to the snap.

In a later tweet, Samsung Help UK reached out to the user and mondoir mentions he’s received a replacement unit.
While this seems to be a one off, and not likely to occur to other customers, it can’t be discredited as being nothing. Considering the issues people had with the Galaxy Fold, hopefully this isn’t a repeat of that fiasco. It’s something to be aware of, so any new Galaxy Flip owners, flip with caution. You never know what might make foldables like this snap.
