‘Skyrim Grandma’ To Be Immortalized As An NPC In Elder Scrolls VI

Bethesda announced in a video celebrating 25 years of the The Elder Scrolls series, that Shirley Curry AKA ‘Skyrim Grandma’ would be in the next game (8:42 in the video above). Skyrim Grandma actually as over 500,000 subscribers and hundreds of videos of her playing Skyrim. This garnered a lot of attention from her fans as well as those of the game, and eventually got her noticed. The decision came when fans started a change.org petition to get her into the game. Here is the description of the petition page and why they want her in the game. The petition so far has garnered over 45,000 signatures, and clearly has gotten their attention.

“This means a lot to me” she said in the video

“Because I would be extremely happy to know that somebody else was playing with  my character in a future Elder Scrolls game.”

The Elder Scrolls VI, the next iteration of the popular RPG series has no release date yet. The game however was shown of at E3 2018, with a small cinematic trailer which is linked here. It shows basically nothing, but it got fans of the Elder Scroll franchise in a hype.

Honestly all of this is just so wholesome and it’s a good thing the gaming community brought about. There isn’t an age limit to who get’s to play games, so maybe try it out if you’re reluctant. There’s always a community out there that’ll accept you.
