Google does not fail to amuse it’s fans every year with its wacky April Fools’ pranks, the engineers always go the extra mile to make the pranks as close to reality as possible. This year is no different with their ‘Screen Cleaner’ application that can supposedly remove dirt, finger prints and grease from your mobile screen from the inside. An impossible task but made to believe by the power of a well made commercial video. (below)
Here’s the description for the all new Screen Cleaner feature from Google: We’ve heard that it’s a challenge to keep phones looking as clean on the outside as they are on the inside. Grease and fingerprints can stick to screens throughout the day, creating unsightly smudges and streaks.
Screen Cleaner is a new feature in the Files app that uses geometric dirt models, combined with haptic micromovement pulses, to dislodge what’s stuck to your screen. Screen Cleaner then generates a thin magnetic field around the surface of the phone, actively protecting against impurities—with a sweet scent to boot.
How convincing, so much so we could see this being an app Apple could introduce in the next iPhone iteration.
Happy April Fools Day!
