With Star Trek: Discovery just days away from its 25 September release, Netflix has revealed its latest viewer statistics based on the level of ‘Trekkie-ness’. This talks about all the fan favourite episodes that are currently being streamed on Netflix over and over again by countless Trekkie fans in Malaysia.

With over 695 episodes currently being streamed on Netflix, over 12,000 Trekkies have spent a over 536 hours (or 22 days) binge-watching Star Trek.  Star Trek: Voyager in particular boasts the most revisited episode, which occurs in Season 7 Episode 25 &26 titled: “Endgame:Part 1 & 2”.

On which series is the most popular on Netflix, there is no right answer. While Star Trek: The Original Series featuring the likes of Leonard Nimoy, William Shatner and George Takei; and The Next Generation with Patrick Stewart, Brent Spiner and Will Wheaton did garner bigger audiences, Voyager and Deep Space Nine fans are better repeat customers as they would continuously revisit to watch their favourite episodes.

Come 25 September, Malaysian Trekkies and countless others around the globe will be able to catch Star Trek: Discovery, where the premise of the show is set roughly 10 years before the events of The Original Series. Discovery will also feature Malaysia’s very own Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Michelle Yeoh as Philippa Georgiou, Captain of the Shenzhou.
