Google Redesigns Dashboard for Enhanced User Privacy

After an incident revolving fake traffic that forced Google to issue refunds to advertisers, the search engine giant is working on its Dashboard to improve its level of privacy for users.

The redesign features improved usability on touchscreens, and makes a number of actions much easier, such as the process of downloading data, seeing an overview of the Google products and its data in each of them.

Now, Google’s ‘Takeout’ is known as ‘download your data’ and its ad preferences manager is now called Ads Settings. In a blog post, Google states: “Ad Settings is a powerful dashboard where you can control how we tailor ads to you, with more granular controls. For example, if you only want to see ads related to certain types of categories, like sports or entertainment, you can add those in and remove others.”
