Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd has launched new home appliances at CES 2021. Those are the new JetBot 90 AI+ and 8800 Series Smart Dial Front Load which are vacuum cleaner and washing machine respectively.
John Herrington, the Senior Vice President, General Manager of Home Appliances at Samsung said, “By automating your floor care and learning your laundry preferences, these new home appliances remove items from your to-do list, freeing you up to do more of what you love.”
The Jetbot 90 AI+ is the first smart robotic vacuum cleaner in the world and powered by Intel® AI to give your floors an amazing clean with minimal effort.
It comes with a LiDAR sensor which is similar to self-driving cars where it detects distance and track locations for exact movements. There is also a 3D sensor that recognises the difference between objects such as a toy and the leg of a chair, detects even small objects on the floor, and recognizes a room’s shape to maneuver around it. Using that information, it will clean closely around items on the floor, while being sure to maintain a safe distance from fragile or delicate objects, and to lower itself under furniture when needed.
The Jetbot 90 AI+ also maximises the 30W suction power of its Jet Cyclone system to trap dust from the air and dirt from the floor. As it finish cleaning, it automatically heads back to the Clean Station™, Samsung’s signature disposal system which you only need to empty once every two to three months. You can also connect your smartphone to it and monitor the cleaner by yourself.
The Smart Dial Front Load is a washing machine that makes laundry easier and less stressful with its Smart Dial technology. It learns your preferred cycles and settings which then prioritise them for quick access in a simplified control panel. It also recommends specific cycles based on past cycles on particular days or weeks.
The powerful OptiWash on it also detect the laundry load’s weight and uses a patented Turbidity Sensor to determine the ideal amount of water and detergent. Also with MultiControl feature, you can operate both the washer and the dryer from a panel on the washer. Just like Jetbot, you can use the SmartThings app on your smartphone too for this washer.
