Covid-19 is showing little to no signs of ending anytime soon be it for global scale or national scale. Fortunately, as a breather, the vaccines are now in the final stage and are ready for distribution (some countries already did).

Malaysia is expecting our first batch of vaccines to be rolled out in February. The priorities will be granted to the high-risk individuals as well as the frontliners. For Malaysians, the vaccines will be given for free but as for the foreigners, no confirmation has been given yet.

The vaccine Malaysians are expecting to receive is the Pfizer type.

For Malaysians, we are no longer strangers to one of the most important apps throughout the outbreak which is MySejahtera. The app lets you check in wherever you are as well as surveying the hotspot of any places deemed as red zones. 

The government-developed app was created solely to monitor the Covid-19 outbreak in the country by also providing necessary information for any planning and countermeasures.

The app is expected to set another milestone with the announcement made by the Science, Technology, and Innovation Minister, Khairy Jamaluddin last week. 

The application for vaccination can be signed up through the MySejahtera app voluntarily for those of 18 years old and above. The ministry will observe the wellbeing of the vaccinated individuals for the next few years by the application itself.

The ministry is also encouraging civilians to do the self-reporting surveillance through MySejahtera.

The choice to sign up somehow is only opted to Malaysians only but a stockpile of vaccines will also be allocated for the foreign workers.
