Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd shared its view for the upcoming year at the 2021 Consumer Electronics Show (CES). The products are introduced at a virtual press conference to show the continuity of innovation by creating flexible, intelligent and AI reliance solutions for daily use.
Sebastian Seung, President and Head of Samsung Research has addressed the company’s efforts to enhance the at-home technology experience.
Those main innovations are Samsung Bespoke 4-Door Flex, 110-inch MICRO LED, Lifestyle TV and SmartThings Cooking.
For Samsung Bespoke 4-Door Flex, this is a fridge that comes with changeable panels with an array of colours and materials to adjust as well as quick access to a water dispenser and water pitcher. It is also equipped with a Dual Auto Ice Maker which makes not only regular cubed ice but also smaller ‘ice bites’ to suit different preferences for cold beverages.

Next is the 110-inch MICRO LED which has a self-lit inorganic LED with a slim and nearly bezel-less Infinity Screen design that seamlessly blends into the living space for best viewing experience. It also has 4Vue that lets you keep up with multiple sports at once, or stream a tutorial while playing a video game. MICRO LED will be rolled out globally beginning this spring.
Lifestyle TV is a TV lineup that includes The Serif, The Frame, The Sero and The Terrace, a new 4K QLED outdoor TV as well as Samsung The Premiere, a cinema-like quality 4K laser projector. As for SmartThings Cooking, it’s a new service from Samsung that helps you plan your meals, shopping lists with the ingredients you need.
Samsung is also upgrading their AI utilisation and robotics innovation. One of the major technologies is JetBot 90 AI+ which is a vacuum cleaner. This vacuum cleaner uses object recognition technology to identify and classify objects to decide the best cleaning path.

Samsung is still developing their innovations by programs and solutions such Galaxy Upcycling at Home and TV Eco Packaging. For Galaxy Upcycling at Home, this program reenacts the lifecycle of an older Galaxy phone and offers options on how it can repurpose the device to create IoT tools.

For TV Eco Packaging, Samsung confirmed that its eco-packaging would expand to QLED, UHD TV, monitor, and audio products in 2021 to create products and solutions with sustainability at the core.
Samsung also has put education ahead through Samsung Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung Innovation Campus. Samsung also pointed at the event on how to make its products more accessible. The SeeColors application is fabricated to help those with colour vision deficiency (CVD) to adjust the settings on their 2021 QLED TVs for better viewing experience and the Sign Language Zoom as well.
Last but not least, Samsung presents the Digital Wellbeing which is to help people manage their digital time to use technology for better life as well as empowering.
