Is it possible for Samsung to ready the Note 8 by August, based on the rumour mill it is reportedly scheduled for a New York launch. However this could be true, the company did have 12 months to work on the model after pulling Note 7 off the shelves.

Samsung released S8 and S8 plus just three months ago and to launch another flagship model in such short space could lead to cannibalising sales of the former. But this could also be a brilliant maneuver, as the Note series does not compete with the S series phones and after solving the battery issue and having the processes in place- evident on the Galaxy S8, Samsung is eager to regain consumer confidence. The launch can also be seen as a strategic move to have the larger smartphone out before Apple comes out with its own bigger iPhone before the year.

Build on the same chassis of the S8 plus, Galaxy Note 8 is said to have curve displays and dual camera, Bixby will be enhanced. The S Pen will be staple with added features, the new version will be as good as modern day tablets on a smaller form factor. A series that made Samsung what it is today, Galaxy Note’s is what sets it apart from Apple.
