LG Updates The G6 With Face Print Unlocking System

LG will be updating its flagship G6 capabilities with enhanced security option in the form of Face Print, lower power consumption and covered lens warning via a software update.

Together with these upgrades, LG is also introducing a new version of the G6, the LG G6+, with additional storage and premium sound. Not settled with finger print, facial recognition or LG like to call it Face Print is an in-house developed software which can unlock the phone by simply holding the phone up to the face without the need to press any buttons. As soon as the face is recognised the phone is accessible and all this happens in less than one second. To keep the battery consumption at a minimal, the front facing camera is only activated when the phone is raised to the face.

As for the LG + the model has a generous 128GB of onboard and bundled with premium earphones from B&O PLAY taking advantage of the 32-bit Hi-Fi Quad DAC featured in the smartphone. The LG+ comes in Optical Astro Black, Optical Marine Blue and Optical Terra Gold.
