This is the latest information to come out from the heat Uber CEO Travis Kalchiek has been getting since taking leave from duties.
Founder of the ride hailing service and paved the way to how public see travel, Travis was instrumental in shaping the industry with his unconventional approach. However, the beleaguered CEO was inundated with series of legal issues and regulatory compliance from various cities in Europe and Asia that really took a toll on him. The 40 year old’s conduct both in the company and public, often left many red-faced including himself many a times; ending up in publishing apology letter to staffs and board members. Since then, the management engaged high profile law firms to conduct internal analysis of Uber whereby recommendations were tabled to have Travis take a leave of absence from the company for a better working environment.
Can Uber charge ahead without the visionary CEO, the ride sharing service is at the cusp of greatness and already valued at billions for its potential future shaping technology. Hopefully this does not derail the company’s plans, as we would want to see autonomous pick up service sooner than later.
