Samsung Expands AI Features In Premium TVs With Vision AI

Samsung Electronics Co is enhancing its premium TV lineup by integrating a new suite of artificial intelligence (AI) features under the Vision AI branding. The latest AI-powered screens are designed to offer users a more interactive and intelligent viewing experience, including capabilities such as identifying actors or products displayed on the screen, translating content in real time, and generating personalised background images.

According to Samsung, the AI-driven improvements include a built-in AI processor on top-tier TV models that will analyse content, enhancing colours, contrast, and audio quality for an optimised experience.

“Samsung sees TVs not as one-directional devices for passive consumption but as interactive, intelligent partners that adapt to your needs,” said SW Yong, head of Samsung’s visual display business.

As part of this expansion, Samsung will collaborate with major partners like Microsoft Corp. and Alphabet Inc.’s Google to further develop and enhance the Vision AI suite with additional capabilities. The company’s push into AI technology comes as it continues its dominance as the world’s largest TV seller for nearly two decades.
