Samsung Electronics Co, Ltd introduced its “AI for All” vision at CES 2025, focusing on making AI an “Everyday, Everywhere” experience. Vice Chairman, CEO, and Head of the Device Experience (DX) Division Jong-Hee (JH) Han outlined the company’s roadmap for Home AI during a press conference, emphasising its goal of providing personalised services through intelligent, connected devices.
“I’m proud of how we have introduced new technologies and intelligence to the home, connected key devices and set the standard for the home of the future,” Han said.
Strengthening Security and Privacy
Samsung highlighted its enhanced security measures, including the Samsung Knox Matrix, which uses blockchain technology to protect home appliances, mobile devices, and TVs. Features such as Knox Matrix Dashboard and Knox Vault ensure robust data protection, enabling encrypted data management and isolating sensitive information.
Smart Home Innovations
Jonathan Gabrio, Head of the Connected Experience Center at Samsung Electronics America, expanded on the vision, showcasing AI integration across Samsung’s smart home platform, SmartThings. Key features include SmartThings Ambient Sensing, Flex Connect for energy management, and enhanced voice recognition with Bixby Voice.
Advancing AI-Powered Devices
Samsung unveiled updates to its product lineup, including the Galaxy Book5 Pro and Galaxy Book5 360 PCs, which leverage AI to enhance productivity and creativity. The Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch incorporate AI-driven health insights, complementing the Samsung Health platform to promote informed wellness decisions.
Innovations in Entertainment and Automotive
Samsung’s Neo QLED 8K TVs, equipped with AI features like 8K AI Upscaling Pro, were showcased alongside new digital art collections for QLEDs. Automotive advancements included a partnership with Hyundai Motor Group to integrate SmartThings with EVs, enabling features like Battery Backup Mode during power outages.
Empowering Future Generations
Inhee Chung, Vice President of the Corporate Sustainability Centre, announced initiatives such as Samsung Solve for Tomorrow and Samsung Innovation Campus. These programmes prepare young innovators with STEM skills and emerging technology training, with 2.6 million students participating globally.
Samsung’s partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) has raised over $20 million through the Samsung Global Goals app, benefiting communities worldwide.
