Global technology brand HONOR has unveiled plans to integrate Google Gemini AI into its forthcoming smartphone models, with the HONOR Magic7 Pro and PORSCHE DESIGN HONOR Magic7 RSR being the first to feature the pre-installed Google Gemini app.

CEO of HONOR, George Zhao, emphasised the significance of this collaboration, stating, “As AI continues to revolutionise smartphone experiences, HONOR is committed to bringing cutting-edge AI capabilities to our users worldwide. Our strengthened partnership with Google represents a significant step forward in making advanced AI accessible to everyone, starting with the integration of Gemini in our upcoming HONOR Magic7 series.”

This integration builds upon the foundation of previous collaborations between HONOR and Google, which have included successful features such as Circle to Search with Google on the HONOR Magic V3 and the HONOR 200 Series. HONOR has also showcased Google Cloud AI capabilities on its Magic V3 and was one of the first manufacturers to support Android 15 Beta.

The Google Gemini app, featured in the global variant of the HONOR Magic7 series, enables users to benefit from various AI-powered functions, including HONOR AI Notes, AI Photo Expansion, AI Style, and AI Translation. Additionally, the app serves as an AI assistant that helps users with tasks such as learning, brainstorming, writing, and event planning through text, voice, photos, and camera interactions.

HONOR’s collaboration with Google aims to continue expanding the AI ecosystem, ensuring future devices benefit from the latest AI advancements while maintaining the company’s strong focus on privacy and security.
