The ROG Conquest 2018 results are out as the Penang State Championship ends on a high note. Following a series of online qualifiers, the Grand Finals begin with a tense battle between Team BlackJack and Team DotaHero. In the end, Team BlackJack sweeps the floor with a convincing 2-0 win. 500 fans pay witness to the culmination of the tournament.

Below are the ROG Conquest 2018 results for the winning teams:

Champion – Teams BlackJack
1st Runner Up – Team DotaHero
2nd Runner Up – Team Lagenda
3rd Runner Up – CR1 Stratos

The tournament is a collaboration between ASUS ROG (Republic of Gamers), Penang Youth Development Corporation (PYDC), and Penang ICT Association (PICTA). One of the main goals of the event is to build a healthy eSports scene among the youth. That seems to be the case as over 90 teams all vied for an RM 20,000 prize pool.

Leo Tseng, country manager of ASUS Malaysia, says, “Focused state championships will be the necessary to accommodate the growing talent pools in each state.” He also emphasises on ROG’s dedication to supporting these local eSports communities with its modern gaming gear.

The event comes in line with an allocated RM 1 million budget from the Penang state government. This is done in hopes that youths will engage in science and technology more actively.

The ROG Conquest tournament stage features the latest ASUS ROG Strix GL503 SCAR Edition, an all-new gaming laptop made for those on the go.
