PlayStation has sold over 500 million consoles and to celebrate this significant milestone, Sony just released a limited edition PS4 Pro HDD 2TB model in dark translucent blue.
Since the launch of the original PlayStation (the SCPH-1000( in Japan on December 3, 1994, Playstation changed the way kids and even adults play games on consoles. With various models launched since like the handheld PSP or the PS Vita, the success of PlayStation brand is unsurpassed, a testament to its 81.2 million units of the PS4 sold this year.
“I would like to express my deepest gratitude for the continued support from our fans and business partners, who have all contributed to PlayStation’s rich history. Without our passionate community, we would not have been able to surpass this remarkable milestone of 500 million units,” said John Kodera, SIE President and CEO.
The limited edition will enter the market priced at RM 2,149 bundled with one wireless controller and the PlayStation Camera. For those keen to own the DualShock 4 500 Million Limited Edition, it will be sold separately as well for RM 259. Both will be on sale starting from August 24, 2018, in limited quantities.
