The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom launched earlier this year in May and is back by with an increased 12GB RAM + 256 GB ROM. The Reno 10x Zoom (as the name suggests) is capable of a 10x Hybrid zoom, along with and industry first 60x Digital Zoom. This combined with the 48MP main camera, 13MP telephoto lens, and 8MP ultra-wide angle lens makes for quite a shooter.
With the 12GB RAM, you can expect a smoother, more intuitive performance. Well theoretically anyway. The phone has pretty much become outdated considering that even OPPO has released the Reno 2 in the same year that they released the Reno 10x Zoom. So again, as I’ve iterated many times before, is there such a thing as too many smartphones?
At this point the Reno 10x Zoom feels outdated, simply because the Reno 2 exists. I’m not quite sure how it’s supposed to work, really. The variant they’re bringing over, won’t even have 5G support, even though their overseas versions will have it, so I’m not really sure why that is. That seems like a bad move on their part, and I’m not too sure a 12GB RAM upgrade is really worth it.
If you were interested in checking out the phone, OPPO is opening their first flagship store at The Gardens Mall on the 30th of November. So you can get a hands on then.
