The Chinese smartphone manufacturer, OnePlus will be releasing the successor to their OnePlus 6 at an event in New York on October 29th with expected big upgrades. Like its predecessors, the OnePlus 6T will run on a variant of the Android operating system.

According to Wired UK, leaks of the new model’s spec sheet was revealed on twitter and if found to be accurate, fans of the OnePlus series can anticipate major updates.

The 6T is expected to have a 6.4 inch  AMOLED display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels. One similarity with its predecessor would be the size of the screen fills the front of the phone. The model is also expected to come with fingerprint sensors which is a first for the OnePlus series.

As for the camera in the OnePlus 6T, users may probably find a pair of rear cameras, one equipped with a 16 megapixel sensor and another with 20 megapixel sensor. Selfie junkies can rejoice as there is a hefty 20 megapixel selfie camera with a f/1.7 aperture.

According to the leak reported by Wired UK, the model will have an eight-core Snapdragon 845 CPU and an Adreno 530 GPU. In terms of storage, the 6T proves to be reliable as it will come equipped with a 128GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM. Do take note that the internal storage comes with no room for additional expandable storage.

OnePlus’s 6T will not have a headphone jack, probably in line with its competitor’s latest models , as this was confirmed by its co-founder Carl Pei as he revealed that 59 per cent of its users already owned wireless headphones.

Though the OnePlus 6 received praises at its launch, thanks to its combination of flagship features and modest price tag, users can now anticipate an upgraded release from the Chinese manufacturer. The OnePlus 6T is expected to start at £499 (RM 2673.54) when it goes to sale on the 6th of November.
