This was the scene outside Pavilion yesterday, the launch date picked by Huawei to introduce the latest flagship Mate20 and Mate20 Pro in Malaysia just a week after the global announcement in London, which PC.com was privy to witness.

Filling the foyer and spilling over to the main entrance, the appearance is no better in other locations including Queensbay Mall Penang and Aeon Bandar Dato Onn Johor Baru, where queue’s can been seen stretching endlessly throughout concourse. Much touted a the premium smartphone of the year by critics and online reviewers, the Mate 20 series is the best smartphone dished out by Huawei since getting into the business. With exceptional built quality and features that would place it alongside similar models from it’s peers like Samsung’s recent Galaxy Note9 and Apple’s iPhone XS, XR and XMax, the Mate20 offers most of what these can deliver at a more affordable price point.

Evident at the launch judging by some arriving as early as 8am, clearly customers were eager to land themselves the latest device which comes with 4 camera’s including a wide-angle lens and an exceptional host of bells and whistles. Early birds were feted with special deals and gifts with special appearance by celebrity ambassador Dr Say.
