Jezzriq Eddi Kismilardy was performing with his band Hydra when Maxis CEO, Morten Lundal surprised the keyboardist with his new iPhone 7. Maxis embarked on its 24-hour everywhere express delivery of the new Apple phone at the stroke of midnight yesterday. Fulfilling over 2000 orders that will be fulfilled within 24 hours including 400 units already handed over to happy customers.
Cities include Georgetown, Penang, as well as locations as far as Semporna, Sabah and smaller towns such as Jerantut, Pahang. Those who opted to self-collect their phones queued up at KLCC Maxis Centre to collect their favourite iPhone, including Mathanan who was first in line.
“I’ve been upgrading my iPhone every year. I also own all the Apple gadgets and I’m looking forward to trying out the new features of the iPhone 7, especially the dual camera,” said Mathanan, a Maxis customer for over 10 years.
