Mark Ruffalo has shared that his Hulk may be involved in the upcoming Disney+ streaming TV series, She-Hulk.

Ruffalo dropped the info during a panel at C2E2 (Chicago Comic and Entertainment Expo). He mentions he has been in preliminary talks for his jolly green character to make an appearance in the streaming service’s series to a certain extent.

If Hulk does show up in the series, he’ll act as a protector (as previously established in Avengers: Endgame with that unfinished, deleted scene) and a mentor-figure to She-Hulk.

In the comics, private attorney Jessica Walters is She-Hulk, Bruce Banner’s cousin. After getting shot and severely wounded, with no other way to save her, Bruce transfuses his own gamma radiated blood into her. As a result, she ends up becoming She-Hulk, though she retains her intelligence.

If you ask me, this makes total sense. How can you not have Hulk in the series? He’s ultimately responsible for what happens to her, so he should at the very least make an appearance in the show. He doesn’t even have to take up a mentor-like role, as he actually ditched town after transfusing his blood to her in the comics.

But with the MCU, they don’t always follow what the comics do, so the possibilities are endless.

While no one is confirmed to star as She-Hulk in the TV series yet, there’s a rumour that Marvel is looking for an ‘Alison Brie-type’ actress. Why then, won’t Marvel just consider Alison Brie herself?

Knowing Marvel, they’d probably prefer a fresh face to take up the role, though nothing is set in stone. For all you know, she just might end up being cast herself.

She-Hulk is currently in development and is reportedly going to start filming in November later this year. The series will debut in 2022.
