Instagram Live Gets Instant Replay

Ever since Instagram introduced its new Live feature, more and more users have been trying it out to the point where it has become some sort of normality. However, there are still those who believe the feature is a bit pointless, since it doesn’t last very long and all that effort you put in showing off what you had for dinner goes to waste.

Thankfully, this world-famous social platform has finally solved the problem. You now have the option to share a replay of your live video to Instagram Stories so that your friends, followers (and stalkers) can catch up with anything they missed.

To do this, just tap ‘Share’ at the bottom of the screen when the broadcast ends to add the replay to Instagram Stories for 24 hours. Alternatively, you can also tap the toggle and choose ‘Discard’, so the video will disappear from the app as usual.

So from now on, if someone you follow shares a replay, you will see a play button under their profile photo in the stories bar. As you watch the replay, you can also tap the right or left side of the screen to for forward or back 15 seconds. In the case that someone shares multiple replays, arrows will be visible at the top so you can easily jump between videos.

These updates are available for both iOS and Android in the Apple App Store and Google Play, respectively as part of Instagram version 10.26.
