OnePlus is really starting to gain attention of the crowd again as it launches its latest OnePlus 5, powered by the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 835 processor. This new flagship model comes in a combo of either 6GB or 8GB RAM matched with 64GB or 128GB of internal storage, respectively.

Apart from growing up in terms of price and quality, the OnePlus 5 is also somewhat an evolved version of its predecessors, as it only inherited the physical switch for alert modes and the Dash Charge technology. Now, it posses more rounded edges, curved antenna lines and the same dual-camera setup as the iPhone. In fact, if you remove the brands’ logos at the back of the phones, you could only tell it apart by its different sizes.

As for the camera – or rather, cameras – they are equipped with the same high-resolution Sony sensors that are in Oppo phones: a 16-megapixel IMX398 with a wide-angle f/1.7 lens (left cam), and a 20-megapixel IMX350 with an f/2.6 telephoto lens (right cam).

But enough about that, let’s get to the specs. Despite the new overall design of the phone, the OnePlus 5 still maintains some of its functionalities. Users need only double tap the power button to quick-lunch the camera and its accurate fingerprint sensor at 0.2 seconds allows for convenience and ease of use. At least it still maintains a sense of familiarity to its predecessors.
