The ASUS King of Mobile 2018 returns for the second time with a Free Fire Battlegrounds tournament at MyTown Shopping Mall, Cheras. The winner of the tournament stood a chance to walk away with tons of goodies, with one of it being an ASUS ZenFone Max Plus M1.

Featuring a total of 80 participants in a total of 20 teams, the King of Mobile 2018 tournament saw a total of seven games being played; four preliminary games, two in the semi-finals and one grand final match. Each round was played in a team format while the grand final was an all-out, free-for-all battle royale that is Free Fire Battlegrounds modus operandi.

After a gruelling full day of games, it was Abdul Malik who was crowned this year’s ASUS King of Mobile. He was followed by runner-ups Azwan Radzali, Noor Alif Danial and Siti Aisyah. All four winners walked away with an ASUS ZenFone Max Plus M1, Mighty Monster vouchers (the restaurant where the tournament was held) and Garena in-game premiums. Malik also walked away with an ASUS ROG Ranger backpack for his win.

The ASUS ZenFone Max Plus M1 features a 5.7-inch IPS display panel, coupled with a MediaTek MT6750T octa-core processor. There are three variations of the smartphone – either its 4GB/64GB model, the 3GB/32GB variant or the lower 2GB/16GB choice. The phone also features an aluminium body that houses a dual 16-megapixel + 8-megapixel lens setup and a 4,130mAh battery.
