A Smaller Version Of HP Jet Fusion 3D Printer Debuts

3D printing has been regarded as the innovation that will change the course of manufacturing, science and medicine. Although we have not seen commercial application of this technology after the promising start it had a few years back, industrial use of 3D printing is rife and active. Many high precision industry use 3D printing in their prototyping stage, medical fraternity already have skeletal replicas made using 3D printing saving time and money. The technology has accelerated go to market production of many products we see today and its only going to get more interesting.
HP Inc. the only traditional printer company to make its full commitment into 3D printing has been deeply involved in this technology when it first introduced its Jet Fusion 3D Printers back in 2016. The 4200 series which can cost up to RM700,000 were large scale machines capable of printing big components like a car manifold! Bringing the technology to the smaller industries has always been the goal at HP and now with the Jet Fusion 300/500 that target is met.
The series is the the industry’s first 3D printer that will enable manufacturers to produce engineering-grade, functional parts in full color, black or white – with voxel control – in a fraction of the time from its competitors. Priced in the RM150,000 region, depending on configuration and color preference, the Jet Fusion 300 / 500 series is available for small- to medium-sized product development teams and design businesses, entrepreneurs, and universities and research institutions who can now access the company’s Multi Jet Fusion printing technology.

HP’s unique ability to control part properties at the individual voxel level (pixel by pixel-near molecular level) enables the design and production of previously unconceivable parts and is now available, in full color. Whether in healthcare, automotive, consumer goods, or other industries; or for entrepreneurs, designers, or university researchers with the next great idea; the potential of new 3D printing applications is enormous. HP is already engaging in the co-development of new color applications with universities and businesses around the world including Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Yazaki Corp., and Youngstown State University, amongst others.

The Jet Fusion 300 / 500 series also supports the three colour file formats (OBJ, VRML, and 3MF) for designers to produce the parts they want without the inconvenience of file conversion or data corruption.

The HP Jet Fusion 300 / 500 series comes in 4 variants two in Black and White and two in full colour.
