Of late, Facebook has been busying itself with its virtual and augmented reality (VR and AR) efforts; it’s so obvious that there are literal hints teasing about the likeliness of the Oculus Go VR appearing.

According to Variety, its sources have discuss the possibility that the next-gen Oculus headset may be a keynote talking point. The social media network has, originally, raised the curtains on this device last October.

Going for US$199, it operates just like other VR headsets that are not tethering to a PC.  There will, likely, be two storage flavours that users can choose from: 32GB or 64GB. At CES 2018, Qualcomm, along with Xiaomi, have revealed they will be working with Oculus to manufacture the Oculus Go VR.

As is, beyond what Facebook teased last year, its next-gen mobile VR headset never made any appearances after. Only leaks of the device that are with developers now have proven that it’s not entirely vapourware.

Variety points out that the upcoming f8 Developers Conference may feature the Oculus Go VR due to a tweet; specifically what Andrew Bosworth, VP of AR and VR, Facebook, hints at. In summary, he shares on how the Facebook conference will “feature the biggest AR/VR news to-date!”

Well, the world will have to wait and see if these claims will come true or not once May 2018 rolls over.
