First Look At Borderlands® 4 Revealed At The Game Awards

2K and Gearbox Software have unveiled the first details of Borderlands® 4, set to launch in 2025, with a new trailer shown at The Game Awards. The trailer introduces The Timekeeper, a ruthless dictator whose perfect Order is threatened by a world-altering catastrophe, unleashing chaos across Kairos, the most dangerous planet in the Borderlands universe.

Borderlands 4 promises to be the most ambitious title in the franchise, evolving the series’ gameplay and storytelling while staying true to the core elements fans love. Key features include:

  • Intense action with badass Vault Hunters and a vast array of wild and deadly weapons on a new planet ruled by a tyrant.
  • Deep and diverse Vault Hunter skill trees, providing unprecedented player expression and an expansive loot chase.
  • A dynamic world with seamless travel between zones, featuring events and side missions that reward exploration.
  • New traversal mechanics, including a vehicle that can be summoned almost anywhere, allowing players to explore Kairos in style.
  • Co-op gameplay for up to four players, offering free-form combat, boss fights, varied loot, and a cast of unforgettable characters.
