New Trailer For Mafia: The Old Country Revealed At The Game Awards

2K and Hangar 13 have released a new trailer for Mafia: The Old Country at The Game Awards, marking the beginning of a new crime saga within the Mafia franchise. Set in the brutal criminal underworld of 1900s Sicily, the game introduces an original protagonist, Enzo, whose journey through organised crime is shaped by a world filled with danger and vendettas.

Mafia: The Old Country offers a linear, narrative-driven experience, immersing players in a cinematic story set against the backdrop of violent, old-world crime. The game’s grounded combat mechanics feature high-stakes stealth and gunplay, as players navigate the gritty reality of organised crime.

Enzo’s tale unfolds in a time when skill with a stiletto blade was vital, and firearms like the lupara sawed-off shotgun were the weapons of choice. After surviving a harsh childhood in Sicily’s sulfur mines, Enzo is given the chance to join Don Torrisi’s crime family, pledging allegiance to its code of honour. The game explores Enzo’s determination to rise through the ranks and the sacrifices he must make along the way.

“Mafia: The Old Country is a love letter to old-style, gritty Mafia stories,” said Nick Baynes, President of Hangar 13. “We are committed to delivering the most authentic and intense story in the franchise.”

Mafia: The Old Country is the latest installment in a franchise that has sold over 35 million copies since its inception in 2002. The game is currently rated RP – Mature by the ESRB.
