Demon Slayer Movie Gets A New Trailer And Release Date

Hit anime series Demon Slayer released a new trailer for its upcoming movie along with a confirmed release date.

The movie, titled Infinity Train, will follow events set after its first season’s last episode. Its protagonist, Kamado Tanjirō and his companions were last seen getting onto a train to investigate cases of people going missing.

Alongside the Flame Hashira (or Pillar), Rengoku Kyōjurō, events will transpire as the demon slayers find themselves in a fierce battle against one of the Lower Moon demons, as teased in the last episode.

The trailer first dropped in Japan, with Aniplex of America later adding English subtitles for its non-Japanese viewers.

While the trailer doesn’t reveal much information, the anime also released a poster with a release date:

As shown on the poster, the movie will have a 16 October 2020 release date. This only indicates its debut in Japan, while we have to wait for information regarding other territories.

While the date does seem a little far off, we do have to take into account the current situation. It seems the anime made a safe decision by putting it a later release window, though it’s possible that it will still get delayed if matters get worse.

Apart from its upcoming movie, Demon Slayer is also working on two games for both PS4 and mobile platforms.
