Today, the Ministry of Health have identified 7 new cases, bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 9,219 cases, with 192 active cases as of August 18.

4 of the 7 new cases are imported, with the rest being local transmission cases.

26 new cases have recovered, bringing the total of recovered cases to 8,902. This also brings Malaysia to a recovery case percentage of 96.56% percent.

There are currently 8 cases being treated in the ICU, with 2 cases on ventilation support.

The MoH have also reported no new deaths as of August 18, keeping Malaysia’s death toll at 125.
