After dismal revenue reports from mobile operators across the board we were bound to see a reaction from the telcos who will want to buff up their numbers, especially on the reliable postpaid plans. While the likes of Maxis and Digi have been enjoying a stable subscription base and steady revenue, Celcom on the other has been stuttering on both aspects, the operator has now turned on the screws and is gearing to charge the market with a new game plan.
Having been active for the past few months, Celcom has just announced new postpaid plans that it promises will offer more data for the ever discerning customer (we would have hoped a price drop but as most often all telcos do, they choose to give more data) Here’s what the blue guys have installed under the added portfolio, offering two new First plans, Gold Supreme and Platinum Plus providing 25GB weekday + 25GB weekend + 25GB free video from selected channels for RM128 and RM188 for 100GB anyday internet + 100GB free video. Also existing Platinum customers plan has been revised to a RM148 plan which gives 30GB +30GB with an additional 30GB for video.
By the looks of it, if you’ve got the dough and a heavy data consumer, the RM188 plan works out pretty nicely, Maxis gives just 50GB for the same price.
On top of the new plan, Celcom will be giving away free phones for those who sign up for the new plans and an option for discounted flasghip Samsung S8 series and iPhone 7 series. Promotion valid till September 30th.
