The joy of the weekend is upon us again, and so is the joy of sales on Steam. Lord Gaben are blessing us with another fine collection of games with discounted prices this weekend. One of the multiple headlining titles for the weekend deal is XCOM 2, priced at just RM62.70, a 67% discount. Several of its DLCs are also on sale.

Fans of the first XCOM definitely won’t want to miss out on this sale. Even if you are a little hesitant to invest over 60 bucks on it, don’t worry! It’s free to play til the end of Sunday, so go ahead and try it out. I will warn you though, the RNG will sometimes be the most frustrating you’ve ever come up against. Three of your units have a 99% chance of killing that one HP enemy? Nope, they all miss. Sigh.

On top of that, there’s more – temporarily – free games on Steam too! Call of Duty WW2 and For Honor are also on sale. Call of Duty WW2 is currently just RM172.90, 35% off. For Honor meanwhile is available for just RM40.19, which is 33% off. And the best part? They’re both free! Well, free for now til the end of Sunday too.

This is the greatest free weekend Valve has ever given us on Steam. And yet, it still doesn’t stop here! Offworld Trading Company, probably one of my personal all time favourite RTS games, is free to play til the end of Sunday as well as being 50% off, priced at just RM19.00.

This RTS features no actual combat in the traditional sense; it’s an economic RTS, where you collect resources and sell them off, generating income which affects supply and demand of said resource. Your economic decisions affect both you and everyone, and you win by buying the majority of stocks in your enemy’s company. It’s fast-paced, brutal, and perhaps one of the most innovative RTS games we’ve seen in a long time.
