ASUS Republic of Gamers (ROG) and eSports organiser MET announce the ‘PUBG Southeast Asia Championship presented by ROG’. The competition is officially supported by PUBG Corporation. Hence, winners of the championship will also get to compete in an international PUBG tournament later in the year.
PLAYERUNKNOWN’S BATTLEGROUNDS is a 100-man scavenging and survival game modeled after similar ideas as the Hunger Games and Battle Royale. Players form squads of up to four members to survive while eliminating the rest of the competition. The massive following and competitive nature of PUBG has made it a fully-fledged eSport in recent years.
ASUS ROG is making PUBG their latest platform for competitive gaming. Accordingly, the company offers a wide range of its gaming products to ensure a quality experience throughout the tournament. These products involve motherboards, graphics cards, monitors, notebooks, peripherals, and routers.
MET intends for the PUBG tournament to run together across five venues in six countries. Six squads from each country will then move on to the SEA Regional Final. The SEA Regional Final takes place in Thailand on 23rd to 24th June 2018.

The winner of this tournament moves on to represent the SEA region in an international PUBG tournament later in the year.
