Acer Malaysia has introduced the new Acer Nitro 5, which is powered by quad-core AMD Ryzen processor and the latest NVIDIA GeForce GTX 16 series graphics card. It’s meant for the more casual gamer, but the Nitro 5 has some pretty beefy specs for the price.
The Acer Nitro 5 combines the AMD Ryzen 7 3750H, an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650, 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD and a base 4GB DDR4 RAM, upgradable up to 32GB. There’s also an additional m.2 slot, plus a HDD Upgrade Kit to let you customise and add on to upgrade the system for future games.
It also has a 15.6″ Full HD IPS display with a 120Hz refresh rate, making the Nitro 5 have an 80 percent screen-to-body ratio because of the 7.188mm slim bezel design. In terms of cooling, the Nitro 5 features dual fans dual exhaust port, designed with Acer CoolBoost technology which increases fan speed by 10 percent, and CPU + GPU cooling by 9 percent, compared to auto mode.
To round it off, there’s an array of ports such as an HDMI 2.0, USB Type-C 3.1 Gen 1, to help make a more versatile gaming laptop.
Available immediately at Acer official online stores and all Acer authorized resellers nationwide, the Acer Nitro 5 retails for RM2,999.
