Just a few days ago that we mentioned AMD may be launching a 7nm Vega 20 GPU at Computex. As it turns out, we got the 7nm AMD GPU true, although they didn’t call it the Vega 20 though. Indeed, AMD announces the Vega Instinct, a 7nm 32GB GPU for professional workstations.

The 7nm node gives 35% more performance over previous 14nm generation nodes. AMD also say that this new GPU has twice the power efficiency meaning it performs with just half the wattage. Their closest rival NVIDIA does not have a 7nm processor right now, with their Volta only at 12nm. This could be one of the few times AMD has gone beyond NVIDIA – in terms of specs at least.

We don’t know the price just yet, but the 7nm AMD Radeon Vega Instinct will be the most top end GPU at this rate. That also means it’ll be extremely expensive.
