PUBG Just Got A Backstory And It’s Creepy AF; Season 4 & Story Updates!

PUBG, one of the most recognisable games in the world and (somewhat) pioneer of the Battle Royale genre, has now been updated with a backstory to all the chaos that is PUBG. With PUBG’s upcoming fourth season, they’ve decided they needed to add a story element to the game.

And it seems that behind this whole bizzaro world where people just drop in and kill each other, is prefaced by a boy who survived some sort of war. And of course, Erangel (PUBG’s original map) was where he saw the bombs drop, murder and who knows what else, and developed thing for survival. With this obsession, now he groups his own band 100 people, drops them in, and watches, for his own entertainment. You can’t tell me that isn’t some sick sh*t going on.

I mean, what was wrong with just letting it be people dropping in, killin’ each other, and that’s it? Why make it needlessly complicated? Well I guess this may be PUBG’s way of competing with the plethora of Battle Royale games, and making theirs stand out.

There’s also a few updates that come along with this new story (which I still don’t know how to process) such as a visual update to Erangel and features new “complexes”, improved graphics and surprises on the map for those who want to delve into the history of the island. There will also be a new Battle Pass; ‘Survivor Pass 4: AFTERMATH’, which means new rewards, challenges, and essentially, loot.
