It appears that a handful of Apple TV 3 users have been experiencing issues with viewing YouTube videos on their device.
There have been multiple complaints regarding the matter, with complaints posted on Apple support forums and YouTube Help Center.
The support forums and help center seem to highlight that only music videos appear to be affected.
Everyone users attempt to watch a music video, they are met with an error message that says “An error occurred loading this content. Try again later.”
A user posted on Reddit that makes it clear Apple has nothing to do with this, citing this issue to be on Google’s end.
It also links back to changes it recently made to the platform, but it’s not clear why the issue is only persistent on Apple TV 3 devices.
Google themselves have not addressed these issues, despite complaints piling up over two weeks.
While it’s definitely an annoying issue, it’s not like you totally can’t watch your favourite music video because of it.
If you’re facing the issue and using an iPhone, you could just use the YouTube app and AirPlay to your Apple TV. That should work. I hope.
Unfortunately, if you’re an Android user, you won’t be able to do that (clearly). I guess all you can do is either watch it on your phone or laptop and hope Google actually addresses these issues soon.
