TM Employee’s That Have Tested Positive For Covid-19 Have Fully Recovered

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) is pleased to update that as of today, all eight positive COVID-19 cases amongst Warga TM have fully recovered and discharged. Since its last update on the three cases reported on 22 March 2020, five more tested positive – bringing the total number to eight cases to date. The cases involved its employees at Menara TM, TM Annexe 1, TM Annexe 2, Menara TM ONE in Damansara, TMpoint at Muzium Telekom, TM Jalan Pusara in Terengganu and TM Kulim in Kedah.

“On behalf of all Warga TM, including the Management, we are very grateful that our employees who were previously tested positive of COVID-19 have now fully recovered. This is indeed an encouraging development for us, while we join hands with the nation to continue battling the pandemic. We would like to take this opportunity to extend our highest appreciation to the medical teams who have been working tirelessly in providing treatment to all COVID-19 patients.”

Dato’ Noor Kamarul Anuar Nuruddin, Group Chief Executive Officer, TM

Since the outbreak of COVID-19, TM has implemented a number of preventive measures across its operations as part of its safety protocols to help contain the spread of the virus and ensure the wellbeing of its employees.
TM’s latest action is the requirement for all its Warga TM who have travelled overseas or have immediate family members who did, or had close contact with others who returned from overseas between 9 March to 3 April 2020, to immediately complete and submit a Travel Declaration Form for contact tracing and plans for another Health Declaration Form in preparation for the next phase of MCO subject to the Government’s announcement.

In line with the Movement Control Order (MCO), TM has also initiated Special Working Arrangements for its workforce nationwide effective 18 March 2020. TM employees with critical functions are given the options of flexible working hours or split working teams. Meanwhile, employees of non-critical functions are encouraged to work from home utilising digital channels and online productivity tools available.

Goodluck with that though. Trying to work from home recently has been a pain given how bad the TM’s service has been lately. Perhaps employee complaints will finally get the company to sort the issue out.
