
Yoodo have officially signed the winners at PUBG mobile National Championship (PMNC) 2018. The team that won the event, known as Gank FTY are now sponsored by Yoodo. Yoodo joined the fray by becoming the first Digital Telco to sponsor the PMNC. Yoodo also has partnered with the publisher behind the PUBG mobile port, Tencent Games. With this partnership, sponsoring the PMNC event as well as having their own Esports team, Yoodoo have cemented their place in the gaming scene.
Gank FTY is now Yoodo Gank as their official PUBG e-sports team. Yoodo Gank consists of 4 players, Aiman Amirul Bin Mohd Said (ManParang), Mohd Hazim Bin Abd Hamid (Jimboy), Abdul Azim Ikromi Bin Abdul Rashad (Draxx) and Mohammad Hafizi Bin Baharudin (Geek).

Commenting on the announcement, Head of Yoodo Chow Tuck Mun had this to say:
“We are excited to announce the next phase in our commitment to e-sports and gamers with the unveiling of Yoodo Gank. PUBG MOBILE is one of the world’s most popular games with 30 million active daily users worldwide. Through Yoodo Gank we aim to cement Malaysia’s name as a true challenger in this arena.”
Yoodo Gank will be representing the company and Malaysia in a string of national, regional and international tournaments.
Also announced at the event was the Beat-The-Champions tournament. This tournament will be held once a month beginning on 28th March and will be open to everyone. It will take place online and will allow even amateur players to take part.
The tournament will be livestreamed on Facebook, and will have two quickplay rounds with 24-Four player teams. The scoring system will be the same with the PMNC 2018 system. Individual kills count for 20 points while a kill on one of the Yoodo Gank members, will count for 60.
You’ll stand a chance to win RM 600 plus RM 50 in Yoodo credit. If there is no winner for the month, the RM 600 will snowball and be available for the next month’s tournament. Essentially making the total prize pool RM 1200.
