Xiaomi’s Mi 10 Series Smartphones Lands On Malaysian Shores April 22

Xiaomi Malaysia is finally bringing their latest flagship, the Mi 10 series, to Malaysian shores. The Mi 10 lineup of devices is Xiaomi’s latest 5G smartphone, which packs some pretty heavy hitting specs. But more on that later. The launch of the devices is taking place on April 22, and is expected to be revealed via a live stream event in accordance with the movement control order in Malaysia.

From their Tweet above, we can see them teasing the Mi 10 Pro’s camera bump, with the caption reading “5omethinG”, indicating 5G support. They haven’t released the prices just yet, but we can get a gist based on the original releases in China:

The Mi 10 Pro comes in three variants:

8GB/256GB for CNY4999 (RM~2900)
12GB/256GB at CNY5499 (RM~3260)
12GB/512GB at CNY5999 (RM~3550)

The Mi 10 comes in three slightly different configurations:

8GB/128GB at CNY3999 (RM~2370)
8GB/256GB at CNY4299 (RM~2550)
12GB/256GB at CNY4699 (RM~2700)

Though, we still don’t really know if they’ll be making all these variants available, but we’ll update the story as the launch event happens next week.

Both the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro have a 6.67″ FHD+ AMOLED curved screen with a 90Hz refresh rate, Snapdragon 865 processors, dual mode 5G, up to 12GB of RAM, and a quad camera setup with a 108MP main sensor that have 8K video shooting capabilities. Oh, and they both support wireless charging too so that’s cool.

The Mi 10 Pro however has internal storage of up to 512GB, 4500mAh battery that is capable of 50W wired fast charge and 30W wireless. Here’s where they start to differentiate against one another as the Pro comes with a quad-cam setup with Samsung’s 108MP main sensor, 12MP telephoto with 2x zoom, 8MP long telephoto with a 10x hybrid zoom, and 20MP ultra-wide lens.

The Mi 10 comes with internal storage of up to 256GB, 4780mAh battery which supports 30W Charing both wired and wireless. Strange to increase this variant’s battery capacity but they do cut down on how fast it can charge, so that’s something to keep in mind. The cameras on the Mi 10 also are in a quad-cam setup and has some minor changes. The Mi 10 comes with the same 108MP main sensor, 2MP depth sensor, 2MP macro camera, and a 13MP ultra-wide angle lens.
